Welcome to PGC 2023

Photonics Global Conference (PGC 2023) will be held at KTH AlbaNova Campus, Stockholm, Sweden from August 21 to 23, 2023. The aim of this conference is to foster interactions among broad disciplines in the photonics and optical communication family. This is going to be the biggest photonics and communication event in Sweden and this can be an excellent platform to meet and share latest research work. The conference will provide a platform for international academics, researchers, practitioners and students working in the photonics areas to discuss new developments, concepts and practices, and to identify synergies in research directions that will lead to broader and deeper applications of photonics. We look forward to your participation so as to make this conference an exciting and fruitful event. Papers presenting original work in, but not limited to, the technical symposia/special sessions are invited for submission.

Special thanks to City Hall--The reception is generously hosted by the City of Stockholm and will take place in the beautiful and famous City Hall.

Visit Sweden

Majestic mountains and heavenly fjords in Norway combine with the tranquil landscapes of Sweden on an epic journey that includes every great Scandinavian rail experience.

Start with a tour of both modern Stockholm and its historic Old Town, followed by a day to explore on your own. Next, head inland by train to Östersund and view the beautiful scenery at every turn, before you cross the Arctic Circle into the 'Land of the Midnight Sun.'

Discover the contrasting cultures of the fascinating Baltics, from colourful Scandinavia to the splendour of Finland, via the historic countries of Latvia and Estonia. Explore glorious palaces and UNESCO World Heritage sites on this unique rail holiday.

One of the best places in the world for auroral activity, Swedish Lapland is as remote as it is scenic. Heritage and tradition are the beating heart of the region and experiencing morsels of this culture in highly scenic locations immerses you in Sweden in ways you could have only imagined previously. This expedition presents the opportunity to do just that as you explore the country from its capital city to the furthest reaches of the Arctic. Enjoy a private sightseeing tour introducing Stockholm's one-of-a-kind atmosphere, history, and stories. From the city, venture north into the arctic circle to places like Lulea, Abisko, and Kiruna, where natural beauty abounds and the aurora borealis dances overhead. Quintessential cold-weather activities, like dogsledding, meet opportunities to learn more about indigenous Scandinavians as you explore by day and night. The adventures that lie ahead as you explore Swedish Lapland are limitless.
