presenting author of a paper submitted will be eligible for this award. Winners
will be selected by the PGC 2024 Committee. Certificates and Awards will be
presented to the winners at the conference banquet and award ceremony.
Best Student Paper Awards
Any full-time university student, who is the first author as well as the
presenting author of a paper submitted with choosing presentation type of “Best
Student Paper Award” will be eligible for this award. Winners will be selected
by the PGC 2024 Committee. Certificates and Awards will be presented to the
winners at the conference banquet and award ceremony.
Young Scientist Awards
Everyone within the age of 40 by July 30, 2024 with a doctor degree is
eligible for Best Young Scientist Award. Application could be made during
registration. The applicant is required to submit representative publications
(up to 3) and full CV for judges to review when submit registration. All publications need to provide
impact factor, citation and major research contribution.
Best Poster Awards
Any presenting author of a paper submitted with choosing presentation type of
“Best Poster Award” will be eligible for this award. Winners will be selected by
the PGC 2024 Committee. Certificates and Awards will be presented to the winners
at the conference banquet and award ceremony.
Photonics Global Student Achievement Awards 2024
(3 Categories: Undergraduate/Master/PhD)
Award given to student who produced
high quality thesis, dissertation or report. Three awards will be given to
outstanding students under each category. Applicants will be evaluated by an
expert panel led by PGC Technical Program Committee Chair.
Eligibility:
(1) The candidate must be an undergraduate, Master or PhD student before 1
July 2024.
(2) The thesis, dissertation or report must be produced between 1 July 2022
and 30 June 2024.
Application Procedure:

- English abstract of the thesis, dissertation or report (within 1 page);
- A supporting letter from the supervisor or mentor;
- CV and transcript of the applicant;
- Thesis, dissertation or report in pdf;
- Student ID card
The application deadline is 1 August 2024. Winners will be informed via email
and awards will be presented on 27 August 2024 during PGC opening ceremony.
Photonics Technology Innovation Awards
Awards will be given to innovative ideas or products which demonstrated new
inventions, new technologies or new concepts in the fields of optoelectronics.
Awards including the best innovation award, the most commercial value award and
the most creative award will be given to outstanding projects. Applicantions
will be evaluated by an expert panel appointed by PGC Technical Program
Committee. This is a platform for optoelectonic researchers or engineers to
showcase their innovative optoelectronic product ideas or enginnering solutions.

- Student ID card (if the applicant is a student).
